About six kilometers south of Taghazout lies the town of Tamraght. Many travelers combine both towns on their road trip through Morocco.
A hotel in Tamraght is a great choice if you’re looking for a bit more peace and quiet after the lively alleyways of Marrakech and Fès. The town is noticeably less touristy than Taghazout.
Even so, you’ll still find a solid selection of restaurants and cafés here — along with plenty of surfers, yogis, and long-term travelers who appreciate the affordable prices.
Tamraght is built a bit farther from the ocean. Unless you’re staying at one of the more upscale hotels, you’ll need to cross a main road to reach the beach.
