Hotels in Norddeich
Norddeich is primarily known for vacation rentals, but the town also has a few truly great hotels. We especially love Hotel Fährhaus and Hotel Regina Maris:
Hotel Fährhaus
The 4-star wellness hotel Fährhaus lives up to its name. It’s located right at Norddeich harbor, and you can watch the sea and the ferries from the windows. Pretty cool.
The rooms here are called “Kajüten” in true East Frisian fashion — the word for sleeping quarters on a ship. But unlike ship cabins, the rooms at Fährhaus are bright, welcoming, and genuinely cozy. Just the place to unwind.
The best part is still to come! There’s an outdoor rooftop pool. With endless views of the North Sea!
Thanks to the harbor location, the dikes, beach, bike paths, and public transit are all close by as well.
Hotel Regina Maris
Looking for somewhere steps from the beach? Hotel Regina Maris is your answer. Step out the door and your first step lands on the dike, your second on the beach.
All the rooms have a maritime feel, with light shades of blue and gray. We love it — it brings out that cozy East Frisian charm perfectly.
We also really enjoy the café in the conservatory. You can sit there with a view of the dike, sip East Frisian tea with Kluntje, and enjoy some delicious cake.
Guesthouses in Norddeich
If you want a bit more privacy without giving up good service, a guesthouse in Norddeich is a great middle ground. Here are three we really like:
Strandhuus Norddeich

The Strandhuus guesthouse — breakfast buffet included — sits quietly near Norddeich’s Wellenpark, a park with wave-shaped lawns, a duck pond, walking paths, and interactive water-themed stations. A super entertaining environment, especially if you’re traveling with kids.
The beach is just a few minutes’ walk away too, so you’re never far from the sand.
When you come back worn out from the day, you can sink into a cozy bed and let the peaceful atmosphere do its thing. Some rooms even have a balcony with sea views — seriously lovely.
Pension Frisia

The family-run Pension Frisia sits close to the dike and is a great pick if you’re planning an active trip. Rooms are simple but cozy, each with a balcony or terrace, and every morning you’ll sit down to an à la carte breakfast.
The value for money here is genuinely hard to beat.
Another big plus is the location. The promenade, beach, outdoor pool, and harbor are all just a few minutes’ walk away, and public transit connections and the ferry docks are close by too.
Pension Nordzeit

Pension Nordzeit breaks the mold — instead of sitting right next to the beach and harbor, it’s on the busy Norddeicher Straße, about a 15-minute walk from the sand.
What you get instead: a small shopping strip, an East Frisian tea house, plenty of restaurants, and great cafés right on your doorstep. A really wonderful atmosphere if you love being in the thick of things.
And even though Norddeicher Straße can get lively and loud well into the evening, you won’t notice a thing inside the cozy rooms. Good insulation is a beautiful thing.
Vacation Rentals in Norddeich
Vacation rentals in Norddeich are everywhere you look — and many welcome dogs too. You can’t go wrong with any of these:
Mare Frisum

Mare Frisum is the ideal place to stay if you like things quiet and private.
The apartment has a super cozy style that makes you want to move in permanently — and it’s surrounded by wide open fields with idyllic cycling and walking paths right outside. East Frisia at its finest!
The beach isn’t too far away either. You’ll have sand under your feet in about 20 minutes on foot. Perfect.
Das Inselhaus

At Inselhaus, you’ll be staying in a spacious vacation apartment with a balcony or terrace and a lovely garden view.
The hosts have been welcoming guests for three generations, and you feel that experience right away. Everything you need is there, and almost any request is happily accommodated.
Norddeich beach and the harbor are just a few minutes’ walk away, and there’s a free parking spot at the property — super handy if you’re arriving by car and want to explore the surrounding towns.
Vacation Home in Norddeich
If you’re heading to Norddeich with the family, we’d recommend booking a vacation home. It can save you money and there’s plenty of space for everyone to spread out.
Haus Hein Mück

Haus Hein Mück is a fantastic base for a family vacation in Norddeich. It’s modern and spacious, with a furnished garden, three bedrooms, and even two bathrooms — no arguments over the bathroom in the morning.
The beach is about a 10-minute walk away, and the outdoor pool, adventure pool, Wellenpark, and other great activities are all close by.
Bonus: a free parking spot is available at the property. For families, having a car makes exploring the surrounding towns so much easier.
