Dubrovnik Beach Hotels
Thanks to its location on the Adriatic, Dubrovnik naturally offers plenty of hotels right on the beach. The vast majority are 4- or 5-star properties — but there are also more affordable places to stay in Dubrovnik that are just as lovely and sit directly by the sea.
Hotel Dubrovnik Palace

The Dubrovnik Palace is a 5-star hotel right on the water, just a few minutes’ drive from the Old Town. It sits at the very tip of the Lapad Peninsula, tucked between forest and sea.
Here you’ll enjoy wonderful peace and breathtaking views of the Adriatic coast, far from the tourist crowds of the city center. At the same time, you’re just a short hop from the top attractions in Dubrovnik.
Whether you’re at the spa, the beach bar, or out on the terrace — at Dubrovnik Palace you’ll have sea views the whole time.
For relaxation, there’s a Finnish sauna, two whirlpools, indoor and outdoor pools, and a wide range of massage options.
And you can look forward to long, lazy afternoons on the beach right in front of the hotel. If you’re in the mood for a little more action, there’s also a diving center on the beach.
Art Hotel Dubrovnik

The Art Hotel opened in 2021 and is one of the very few 3-star hotels on the beach in Dubrovnik. It sits in a small cove on the Lapad Peninsula, right on the wide pebble beach of Uvala Lapad Beach.
You’re staying a little off the main tourist trail here, but the Old Town is only a few minutes away by car.
The rooms at the Art Hotel are modern and have everything you’d want. Some even have a balcony overlooking the sea with views across the bay.
The hotel also has a beautiful indoor and outdoor terrace with sea views, where breakfast is served each morning.
The hotel doesn’t have its own beach, but Uvala Lapad Beach is just a few minutes’ walk away — you’ll find cafés, boat rentals, and beach chair rentals right there.
Dubrovnik Accommodations in the Old Town
The Old Town is packed with incredible sights, and the best way to explore them is by staying right in the middle of it all. These are our favorite hotels in Dubrovnik’s historic center.
Guesthouse Forty-Four

The Guesthouse Forty-Four is located right in the heart of Dubrovnik’s Old Town — and we mean that literally.
You’ll be staying right on the Stradun, the main street lined with shops and restaurants. You’re also surrounded by fairytale fortresses and palaces — the Rector’s Palace and the Sponza Palace are both just 100 meters away.
Beyond the location, we especially love the interior design. The historic stone facade blends beautifully with modern touches and Mediterranean style — absolutely stunning.
If you feel like doing some sightseeing, just ask at the front desk. The staff are happy to help you book a tour.
Guest House Tomasi

At Guesthouse Tomasi, you’ll be warmly welcomed by host Ana, who’s more than happy to share her insider tips about the city.
The property sits in the northern part of the Old Town. Right nearby you’ll find the Pile Gate and the city walls, the Franciscan Monastery, and the Stradun. Even though you’re in a super central spot, the side street is wonderfully quiet — so you can escape the evening buzz whenever you need to.
The rooms are cozy and decorated with real attention to detail.
In short: a relaxed, centrally located place to stay that’s ideal if you want to pack in plenty of sightseeing.
Art Home Arthur

The Art Home Arthur is housed in a 16th-century townhouse.
The hotel has been freshly renovated and, as the name Art Home suggests, the rooms are tastefully yet authentically decorated.
You’ll be staying in the eastern part of Dubrovnik’s Old Town, just a few hundred meters from the Onofrio Fountain, the cable car up to Mount Srđ, and the Minčeta Tower.
5-Star Hotels in Dubrovnik
Looking for a seriously stunning luxury experience in Dubrovnik? These 5-star hotels will pamper you to your heart’s content.
Hotel Bellevue Dubrovnik

As the name suggests, the 5-star Hotel Bellevue perches on a cliff above the sea, with a truly breathtaking panoramic vista over the Adriatic.
You can soak in that view from the spa area too. Take a dip in the indoor pool or unwind in the Jacuzzi while watching ships sail by on the water below.
At the base of the cliffs, there’s a fine pebble beach with a laid-back beach bar belonging to the Bellevue. If you’re after something more upscale in the evening, the hotel’s own wine bar stocks over 180 different varieties.
Boutique Hotels in Dubrovnik
Not in the mood for a big, cookie-cutter hotel? We’ve found two great boutique hotels in Dubrovnik that offer something genuinely different.
Boutique Hotel Kazbek

At the Boutique Hotel Kazbek, you quickly sense the geographical and cultural closeness to Italy: the stone country house is strongly reminiscent of a classic Tuscan country estate.
The 5-star property consists of a historic 16th-century stone house and an expansive, tranquil garden.
During the day, you can relax by the outdoor pool or curl up with your favorite book in the library.
The kitchen uses regional ingredients, and many products come from fair-trade suppliers. The Kazbek is also committed to ecological and sustainable tourism.
All rooms are individually decorated, and the solid wood and stone furnishings still carry the authentic historic character of the building.
One more thing: the Kazbek even has its own speedboat. For an extra charge, you can book custom day trips to the surrounding islands right at the front desk.
Boutique Hotel Stari Grad

The Stari Grad is a small boutique hotel with just eight rooms and a wonderfully intimate atmosphere. The property also has a rich history — it dates back to the 16th century and has seen quite a lot over the years.
Small but mighty: the Stari Grad even has a Thai spa where you can treat yourself to a relaxing massage.
And hard to believe for a small guesthouse, but the hotel restaurant Above 5 has even been mentioned in the Michelin Guide. Aside from the delicious local and seasonal dishes, it’s simply a wonderful spot to sit on the rooftop terrace and take in the Old Town panorama.
If you need a little more space, you can book a spacious suite in the Villa Anamir — which belongs to the hotel — while still enjoying all the hotel’s amenities.

Vacation Rentals in Dubrovnik
A vacation rental in Dubrovnik is perfect if you want a little more freedom or simply prefer to feel like a local. Here are two really beautiful options we’d recommend.
Apartment Cativla

Want more freedom, a completely private atmosphere, or just to feel at home? Then you’ll love the Apartment Cativla.
The rental has one bedroom and a living room with a sofa bed, sleeping up to four guests. The kitchen is well-equipped with everything you could need during your stay in Dubrovnik.
Honestly, the standout feature of Apartment Cativla is its location right by Dubrovnik’s old harbor. Not only are you in a super central spot, but from the apartment’s balcony you’ll also have an incredible view of the Old Town.
The rooms are modern and decorated in soft colors. Free Wi-Fi is included, of course.
Luigi Apartments

The Luigi Apartments are three separate vacation rentals within one building. The big plus: you also get access to a shared pool and a lounge area.
From the terrace, you’ll have a great view of the sea — the perfect spot for a leisurely breakfast or an afternoon coffee.
The Old Town is just a ten-minute walk away. So you’re close to Dubrovnik’s top highlights, yet you get to enjoy the peace and quiet away from the city center in the evenings.
Your host Ivica speaks fluent English, was born in Dubrovnik, and can point you to the best spots in the city.
