The Hafenrestaurant Juist is an absolute must for anyone figuring out where to eat on Juist. With views of the harbor, you’ll find genuinely great regional cooking — from lobster soup to cutter plaice, you can essentially taste your way through the North Sea.

Not a fish fan? No problem — there are meat dishes and vegetarian options too.

Domäne Bill: The World's Best Raisin Bread

At Domäne Bill you’ll find the most delicious raisin bread in the world – we promise!

Bill is Juist’s most popular attraction. Not only does it offer great hiking trails and a wide open beach, but also the Domäne Bill farmhouse restaurant.

The menu features hearty and sweet dishes, including the legendary Juist Rosinenstuten — a raisin bread that visitors and islanders alike are completely crazy about. Trust us on this one.

Lütje Teehuus: Totally East Frisian

The Lütje Teehuus is quintessentially East Frisian and seriously cozy. The café sits in Januspark right in the heart of the village, where you can enjoy delicious cake with traditional East Frisian tea.

Feeling peckish rather than sweet? They also serve North Sea shrimp on dark bread and warm soups.

This is also one of our favorite spots if you’re making a day trip to Juist — perfect for a mid-afternoon break.

Café Baumann's: For Every Appetite

At Café Baumanns you can enjoy incredibly delicious food all day long. From cakes to soups, they have it all.

Baumann’s is a café and restaurant rolled into one. The location near the harbor, right on the Kurplatz, is super convenient — and from the terrace you get a great view over the village.

You’ll find great food all day long here: a proper breakfast, snacks in between, hot meals, cocktails, and ice cream. Really, whatever you’re in the mood for.

Carl Steakmann is located right next to the old Juist train station and has a great industrial ambiance.

But it’s not just steak on offer — despite the name, you’ll also find various tarte flambées and genuinely creative dishes like carpaccio of colorful beets with truffle oil. One of the more unexpected dining experiences on the island.

Loogster Stuv: Relaxed Dining

The Loogster Stuv tea house is tucked away in the quiet part of the island known as Loog. Just like the Lütje Teehuus in the village center, it has a super authentic East Frisian feel and serves tea, cakes, and more adventurous dishes — ideal if you want to slow right down.

At Restaurant Hohe Düne you’ll find delicious Mediterranean and German food — and one of the best settings on the island.

The restaurant sits right on the beach promenade in the dunes, so you get a stunning view of the sea while you eat. Hard to beat.

Frankie's Grill: Best Snack Bar on Juist

Frankie’s Grill is the best snack bar on the island, located right in the village on the way to the beach. They serve seriously tasty fish burgers, plus currywurst, fries, and salads.

We especially love that you can get everything packed up to take straight to the beach with you.

Strandhalle Juist: German Cuisine

Like Restaurant Hohe Düne, the Strandhalle sits right on the promenade.

You’ll find regional German cooking and hot and cold drinks — exactly what you want after a long day at the beach.

Sherpa Juist: Restaurant at the Airfield

Sherpa is the only restaurant at Juist’s airfield and also the only place on the island serving proper Asian cuisine.

So if you’re craving sushi, coconut soup, or a good Thai curry, this is your spot.

Craving Italian? Reserve a table at da Pietro on Januspark. They serve the best pizza on the island, great salads, and delicious pasta dishes.
