If you don’t need public transit or are staying in Valencia for a longer stretch, the Valencia Tourist Card 7 is worth a look.
This alternative does not include public transit, but comes with all the other perks of the regular card — and it’s valid for a full 7 days for just 12 euros.
Especially interesting: This card also includes free admission to the Cathedral of Valencia. On its own, that normally costs 8 euros and isn’t included with the regular Valencia Tourist Card.
Buy the Valencia Tourist Card online or in person?
You can buy the Valencia Tourist Card online or directly at various sales points around the city.
Unfortunately, the card is not yet digital — it’s only available as a physical card. That means if you buy it online, you’ll still need to pick it up in person in Valencia.
Buying online in advance is slightly quicker, but honestly the time saved is pretty minimal.
With your voucher, you can collect the card at any tourist office in the city, including a counter at the airport. There’s also an electronic terminal there where you can pick up the card around the clock.
You can also have it delivered to your hotel in Valencia. It’ll arrive between 10 and 11 AM on the date you specify.

When does the Valencia Tourist Card validity period start?
The validity period (24, 48, or 72 hours) starts the first time you use the card — either on public transit or at an attraction.
For example, if you first use your 48-hour card on Monday at exactly 2:00 PM, it’ll be valid until Wednesday at 1:59 PM.
Can I use the Valencia Tourist Card on all public transportation?
With the Valencia Tourist Card, you can ride all metros, buses, and trams in zones A and B. The card also covers metro lines 3 and 5 to and from the airport, which is technically in zone C.
That means you can reach all the major sights, including the beaches and the port of Valencia.
How do I use the Valencia Tourist Card on the metro?
You need to pass through the turnstiles when both boarding and exiting. Just hold the Tourist Card up to the reader and the gate will open.
How do I use the Valencia Tourist Card on the bus?
Always board at the front of the bus. To the left of the driver there’s a card reader — hold your card up to it and it’ll light up green and give a short beep. You don’t need to tap out when getting off.
