Tell us a little about yourselves and Hotel Saleghes. Who are you?

We are Oskar, Ursula, and Marie, and we run Saleghes as an aparthotel and family business — with a whole lot of love and passion!

To make sure you feel truly at home, we combine the intimacy of a vacation apartment with the comforts of a hotel.

And because we welcome a maximum of 42 guests at a time, the atmosphere is completely relaxed and family-like — perfect for unwinding.

Where is Hotel Saleghes located?

Saleghes is located at the entrance to the village of Selva in Val Gardena, South Tyrol — at an elevation of 1,550 meters, right in the heart of the Dolomites.

What makes Hotel Saleghes special?

What sets us apart is our architecture — the guiding thread that runs throughout the entire building. And our passion for design, art, and beautiful things, which we love sharing with our guests.

This creates a truly special atmosphere in the house: welcoming and relaxed. The design is clean and understated, with plenty of wood, which brings a real sense of calm.

We’re right in the middle of the Dolomites — just behind the hotel, you can head straight out on foot toward nature parks, alpine meadows, and mountain peaks.

Which places near the hotel would you recommend, and why?

The Dolomites, without a doubt!

In summer: the Puez-Odle Nature Park, the Sassolungo Pass, the Val Lunga, Juac, the Seceda alm, the Stevia mountain, Col dala Pieres, the Puez area, the Gardena Pass, the Sella Pass, the Alpe di Siusi, and the Rasciesa alm — all great for hiking, mountaineering, and mountain biking.

In winter: the famous Sella Ronda circuit around the Sella massif for skiing, ski touring in the Dolomites (best done with a guide!), and in recent years winter hiking on the surrounding alpine meadows has also been rediscovered. Val Lunga and Monte Pana/Alpe di Siusi offer beautiful cross-country ski trails set against a stunning mountain backdrop.

The team at the front desk is always happy to share information about hikes and ski tours, insider tips, and mountain hut recommendations.
