Sagrada Família Ticket Prices & Options

You can choose between a Sagrada Família Standard Ticket (without tower access) or a ticket that includes a tower visit.

Both options include access to an audio guide, which you can listen to through the official Sagrada Família app.

You have three ways to buy your Sagrada Família tickets:

  • Online through the official Sagrada Família website
  • Through the Sagrada Família app (Android | iOS)
  • Online through a third-party provider like GetYourGuide or Tiqets

Important: There is no ticket booth on-site!

Our tip: Before you book, it’s worth checking whether one of the Barcelona city passes might work out better for you — some of them already include admission to the Sagrada Família.

Sagrada Família Tickets via the Official Website or App

Through the app and the official website, Sagrada Família tickets are noticeably cheaper. However, the booking process is only available in English or Spanish — not in other languages.

Also worth knowing: if you need to cancel your ticket, the process is pretty complicated. Refunds are generally only possible if you have official documentation explaining why you can’t visit. You can find the full details here.

Sagrada Família Tickets via Third-Party Providers

With GetYourGuide and Tiqets, booking your ticket is quick and straightforward in English.

Another big plus: cancellation is hassle-free — you can cancel up to two days before your visit and get a full refund.

It doesn’t really matter which third-party provider you go with, since they offer the same conditions.

That said, one provider might be sold out for a specific time slot when the other still has availability. So it’s always worth checking both.

Our Sagrada Família Ticket Recommendation

We’d go with the Sagrada Família Standard Ticket. It includes the audio guide through the official Sagrada Família app.

You get access to two different audio guides: the full, more detailed version (45 minutes) and a shorter one (20 minutes). You can activate both in the app using the booking code on your ticket.

We tested the 45-minute audio guide ourselves — it works perfectly and is genuinely fascinating. It guides you from stop to stop both outside at the facades and inside the basilica, with everything clearly marked by numbers.

We really loved exploring the basilica at our own pace while picking up all the interesting background on the history, the construction, and Gaudí himself.

Note: To use the audio guide, you’ll need a smartphone and your own headphones.

Sagrada Família Ticket with Tower Access

If you go for the ticket with tower access, the audio guide is included as well.

On top of that, you’ll get to visit the towers of either the Nativity Facade or the Passion Facade. You choose which one when you book.

The Nativity Facade tower faces east and the Passion Facade tower faces west. From both, you get a sweeping panorama over the city, the surrounding mountains, and the sea in the distance.

The Nativity Facade tower, unlike the Passion Facade tower, was built during Gaudí’s lifetime — which made it feel a little more special to us, so that’s the one we chose.

What to Expect on the Nativity Facade Tower Visit

Exactly one hour after you enter the Sagrada Família, your tower visit begins. An elevator inside the basilica takes you up to 65 meters.

Small bags are fine to bring up; larger bags need to go into a locker right next to the elevator.

Our tip: Arrive at the elevator about five minutes early — a short line can form.

At the top, you first walk across a small bridge connecting the tower to a second tower. The bridge offers a lovely view over Barcelona, though getting a clear photo is tricky since the bridge is secured with netting — you’ll be shooting through the mesh.

After that, you head back down via a spiral staircase. Along the way, you can peek through mostly barred windows at the other towers, giving you a close-up look at the ongoing construction and the tower spires.

Heads up: You shouldn’t have a fear of heights or claustrophobia for the tower visit. The spiral staircase is very narrow, and passing other visitors isn’t easy — so it can get a bit congested.

Is the Tower Visit Worth It?

Honestly, the Nativity Facade tower visit feels a little short. You cross the bridge, take a few photos, and then you’re already heading back down.

On the way down, you can look through several windows — but they’re either very narrow or have bars that limit the view considerably.

The Passion Facade tower, by contrast, has at least one of its three viewing platforms with an unobstructed outlook. Whether that makes it significantly more worthwhile, we honestly can’t say.

Our personal verdict: The view is lovely, but it’s not reason enough on its own to go up. There are better viewpoints in Barcelona — like Montjuïc. That said, seeing the facade and towers up close is genuinely interesting. We just found the basilica itself more impressive.

Sagrada Família Tickets with a Guided Tour

You don’t have to explore the Sagrada Família on your own — you can also join a guided tour. Your guide will give you deeper insights and answer any questions you have along the way.

Guided tours are available through both the official website and through GetYourGuide and Tiqets.

We’d recommend the 90-minute tour. You get so much more fascinating background, all at a relaxed pace.
