Affordable Hotels in Central Paris
The center of Paris stretches from the Jardins du Trocadéro in the west to the Place de la Bastille in the east, and from the Place Adrien-Oudin in the north to just before Montparnasse in the south.
This is the oldest part of Paris and also the neighborhood with the most Paris attractions you absolutely don’t want to miss.

Affordable Hostels in Paris
If you really want to keep costs down, hostels are a smart move. These three offer seriously great value for the money:
UCPA Sport Station Hostel Paris
From 60 euros per night in a dorm.
The UCPA Hostel is in the 19th arrondissement, north of central Paris and close to the main train stations.
You can book private rooms for two to six people or stay in dormitories with four or six beds. The dorms are of course the most affordable option.
Beyond the rooms and dorms, the hostel has a fitness room, a terrace, a common area, a bar, and a restaurant with a breakfast offering.
The UCPA Hostel is especially great for younger travelers looking for a cheap place to stay in Paris without sacrificing atmosphere.
JO&JOE Paris - Nation
From 50 euros per night in a dorm.
The Jo&Joe Hostel in the 20th arrondissement is another solid budget pick for young travelers in Paris.
The hostel offers private rooms for one to eight people and dormitories with four to eight beds. The dorm option is, again, the most affordable.
You can add a continental breakfast with à la carte options — or grab breakfast at one of the many traditional French cafés scattered around the hostel.
Beyond cafés, there are also great Asian restaurants, various nightclubs, and cool music bars nearby. The Quartier de Charonne is a fantastic area for a night out.
There are only two well-known attractions right in the immediate area — the Père Lachaise cemetery and the Place de la Nation — but the Metro from Buzenval gets you into central Paris quickly.
Caulaincourt Montmartre

Caulaincourt is a slightly more upscale hostel in Paris — but you can still stay here very affordably.
The hostel combines hotel and youth hostel, offering private rooms for one to four people as well as dormitories — including a female-only dorm.
Caulaincourt also has a shared kitchen and a daily light breakfast.
The location is fantastic! Right in the heart of Montmartre, you’re surrounded by art, culture, and things to see. The famous Sacré-Cœur is easily walkable, and the Metro from Lamarck-Caulaincourt will take you from A to B in no time.
