21 House of Stories Navigli
The 21 House of Stories Navigli is our top pick for boutique hotels in Milan — and honestly, everything here just clicks. The rooms are seriously cool in their design, packed with stylish details around every corner.
The location in the hip Navigli neighborhood is a real bonus too — you’re right along the popular canals. And don’t worry: even though Navigli is a nightlife district, the rooms are very quiet.
The absolute highlight, though, is the rooftop terrace with a pool. The views are incredible and the vibe is simply gorgeous. That alone makes 21 House of Stories Navigli worth every cent!
By the way: Love the concept but prefer not to stay in Navigli? Then also check out the 21 House of Stories Città Studi.

The Urban Hive Milano is our go-to design hotel right in the heart of Milan. It sits in the lovely Brera neighborhood — you really can’t go wrong here for your first city trip to Milan.
The rooms are cozy, decorated in warm colors, and offer everything you need. Mornings start with a delicious breakfast that sets you up perfectly for a full day of sightseeing.

Boutique Hotel Martini 17
Another affordable option among Milan’s boutique hotels is the Martini 17. The décor is super stylish, with light colors and dark accents that work really well together.
The garden is also lovely — a perfect spot to unwind and forget you’re in the middle of a big city.
The staff is genuinely warm and makes you feel right at home. Charming bars and cafés nearby round out the whole feel-good package.
The one trade-off is location: you’re outside the center, and it takes about half an hour by public transit to get downtown. That said, the value for money is excellent — and for Milan, that’s saying something.
