Kuta

El Tropico Boutique Hotel

The El Tropico Boutique Hotel sits right in the heart of Kuta — one of the most popular spots for accommodation on Lombok. Beautiful beaches, great snorkeling, and top surf spots are all just minutes away.

That said, you might not want to leave at all — the hotel has multiple pools, a delicious breakfast, and a bar that make it seriously easy to just stay put.

The rooms are super modern, decorated in bright colors with gorgeous design touches — you’ll feel right at home. And the value for money is honestly outstanding for what you get.

South Coast

Boni Beach Lombok Boutique Hotel

The Boni Beach Lombok Boutique Hotel is tucked into a peaceful spot on the south coast, just 100 meters from the beach.

Kuta and the beloved surf beach Selong Belanak are both close by, and a free shuttle runs to various beaches — a really handy perk.

The rooms are spacious and genuinely cozy, and the pool area is an absolute dream. But one thing that really sets Boni Beach apart is its serious commitment to sustainability — which is refreshingly rare in Indonesia.

Gili Trawangan

Belukar Villas

In our opinion, the Belukar Villas on Gili Trawangan are the most beautiful of the Lombok boutique hotels if you want to base yourself on the Gili Islands. The white sand beach with turquoise water is just a short walk away, and you’ve got a fantastic outdoor pool right on your doorstep.

The value for money is excellent — rooms are spacious and a delicious breakfast is included, served on your own terrace. It doesn’t get much better than that.

Traveling with young children? The Belukar Villas are especially well-suited, with large villas that give the whole family plenty of room to spread out.

The staff is incredibly warm and welcoming, and practical extras like affordable bike rentals and laundry service round things out nicely.

Senaru

Rinjani Lodge

If you want to stay in the mountains, the Rinjani Lodge is hands-down the most stunning place to stay on the island. It’s set in the small village of Senaru, close to the two spectacular waterfalls Tiu Kelep and Sendang Gile.

It’s also the perfect base for the hike up the Rinjani volcano — you can leave your luggage here while you’re on the trail. After the trek, the pools with their breathtaking views and the excellent restaurant food will feel very well-earned.

The rooms are beautifully furnished with real warmth and character, the hosts are genuinely lovely, and the prices are fair. Seriously one of our favorite unique hotels on Lombok.

Senggigi

Jeeva Santai Villas

The Jeeva Santai Villas are a wonderful boutique hotel right on the beach in Senggigi — a laid-back resort town in the northwest of the island and a great base for exploring Lombok’s highlights.

Several beautiful beaches fringed with palm trees are within easy reach, and you won’t find big tourist crowds here.

You’ll find even more peace and quiet at the Jeeva Santai Villas themselves — there’s loads of privacy, a large pool, and the hotel’s own private beach access.

The villas are all spacious and generously appointed, perfect for proper relaxing on the terrace. The on-site restaurant is fantastic too — the food there is really, really good.
