The location in the popular resort town of Skala is fantastic. You’re just a short walk from the three-kilometer-long sandy beach, and the town center is only a few minutes away on foot. If you’re browsing where to stay in Kefalonia, Skala is one of the top spots.

The Petani Bay Hotel isn’t a classic beachfront hotel on Kefalonia — it’s perched above the beach. That said, we find both the hotel and Petani Beach so stunning that we absolutely had to include it.
The highlight is the infinity pool with sweeping sea views — and the sunsets are spectacular. You can reach the beach by car in just a few minutes, and parking at the hotel is free.
The rooms are cozy and decorated in warm tones. Best of all: it’s completely peaceful around the clock — ideal if you’re really here to switch off.
The hotel’s own restaurant and breakfast are excellent too.

The Myrtos View Apartments are, in our opinion, the best place to stay near Myrtos Beach — Kefalonia’s most famous and jaw-droppingly beautiful stretch of coastline.
Since there are no hotels directly on Myrtos Beach, you’ll need to stay above the coastline if you want to be nearby. This is a genuine local favorite for Kefalonia — the views are seriously incredible.
From the apartments you have a stunning panorama of the bay, and the beach is just a short drive away.
The décor is beautifully tasteful and wonderfully put together. You’ll have plenty of space and your own kitchen for self-catering.
The property has a gorgeous outdoor pool with sea views. And the sunsets? Simply breathtaking.
