The World House is another absolute favorite of ours. This small Istanbul hotel is housed in a cool historic building right next to the Galata Tower in the hip neighborhood of Beyoğlu.
In the lobby, there’s a charming café with great specialty coffees. The staff is incredibly warm, and you’ll feel right at home from the very first moment.
All rooms are very modern and decorated in cozy colors. We especially recommend the suites with sea views and the rooms with a balcony.

Don’t let the name fool you — the Hotel Miniature isn’t about tiny rooms. It’s all about personal service: with only a handful of rooms, every guest gets an enormous amount of attention. A real under-the-radar find in Istanbul!
The location right in the heart of the historic district is fantastic. The nearest tram stop and must-sees like Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque are just minutes away on foot. And if you’re planning to hit a lot of sights, an Istanbul City Pass is often well worth it!
Yet the rooms are absolutely peaceful. Each one is decorated with attention to detail and in keeping with the style of the historic building. For the ultimate in luxury, there’s even a suite with a whirlpool.

The rooms are very modern with a somewhat mysterious vibe to the décor — it’s definitely a truly distinctive style. One thing to note when booking: a few rooms have no windows.
Two great extras: at check-in you receive a mobile Wi-Fi router and a metro card. The hotel is also very family-friendly.
Hammamhane
If you love Turkish baths, this one’s for you. As the name suggests, the Hammamhane Hotel has its own Turkish bath on-site: the Cukurcuma Hammam.
The hotel itself is really cool too. Rooms are decorated in a raw industrial style with seriously comfortable beds. You also get plenty of space, and many rooms come with a lovely terrace.
Breakfast is a real highlight. And if you still can’t get enough of great food afterward, the staff will happily point you toward the best restaurants in the city.
The Hammamhane is located in the arts district of Cihangir, and key points of interest like İstiklal Caddesi are just a few minutes’ walk away.
RUZ Hotels
We love the RUZ especially for its stunning rooftop terrace. The panoramic vista over the city is amazing, and the cocktails at the bar are absolutely incredible — it really doesn’t get better than this.
The hotel is housed in a historic building but decorated in a very charming modern style. Rooms are seriously cool in design and superbly equipped — each one has its own motto written on the wall in neon lettering.
The RUZ sits right in our favorite neighborhood, Beyoğlu, with a perfect location: the nearest metro station and highlights like the Galata Tower are right on your doorstep.
