The Acropolis View Hotel offers incredible bang for your buck given its fantastic location. The north entrance of the Acropolis is just a 5-minute walk away, and the south entrance is ten minutes — you really can’t do better than that!
The hotel has a simple, cheerful decor and everything you need for a short trip to Athens. The staff is absolutely wonderful and genuinely happy to help with any questions.
Breakfast is served on the rooftop terrace, and if you need to head out early, there’s a to-go breakfast box available.
In the evening, grab a drink from the bar, take it up to the rooftop, and let the night wind down with a view of the Acropolis lit up against the sky.

The 360 Degrees Hotel is home to one of Athens’ most celebrated rooftop bars: the 360 Cocktail Bar. The panorama of the Acropolis paired with great cocktails and a buzzy atmosphere is seriously spectacular.
While prices on the rooftop lean toward the higher end, the hotel rooms themselves offer excellent value. You’re right at Monastiraki Square and only about a ten-minute walk from the north entrance of the Acropolis.
The rooms are very modern and stylish, and in the morning there’s a fantastic breakfast buffet in a room with panoramic windows. The hotel truly lives up to its name — and is one of our favorite places to stay in Athens.
Acro Urban Suites

The Acro Urban Suites are a great choice if you want an affordable hotel close to the Acropolis without sacrificing space. As an aparthotel, the rooms give you plenty of room to spread out, a private kitchen, and solid amenities.
The staff is incredibly helpful and available around the clock. The hotel doesn’t serve breakfast itself, but you’ll get great discounts at nearby breakfast cafés — which is honestly a nice way to explore the neighborhood.
On the roof, there’s a lovely rooftop terrace for relaxing. Unlike most hotels near the Acropolis, there’s no bar or restaurant up here — it’s simply a calm spot to unwind after a day of sightseeing.
The quiet location on the edge of Philopappos Hill, just a short walk from the city center, is another big plus.

#1 For Brunch: Anglais Athens
From the rooftop terrace of Anglais Athens, you get not only a great view of the Acropolis, but also of Monastiraki Square directly below. Over scrambled eggs and great coffee, you can sit back and watch the buzz of the square unfold beneath you.
#2 For Cocktails: Couleur Locale
From the rooftop of Couleur Locale, you get an even better view of the Acropolis. The cocktails are fantastic, and Couleur Locale is perfect for winding down the evening.
There’s also a small food menu, and you can even have breakfast here.
The entrance is pretty well hidden, but the shops on the street below can point you in the right direction.
#3 Lunch & Snacks: Loukoumi Bar
Near the antique market in Monastiraki, there’s an easy-to-miss door with “Loukoumi” written above it. Step through it and you’ll find a staircase that leads you up into the venue.
On the first floor, there’s a cool bar with a balcony overlooking the flea market. One floor higher, you’ll find the rooftop terrace with a view of the Acropolis.
Prices at Loukoumi Bar are completely typical for Athens — nothing inflated. And because it’s not on most tourists’ radar, you’ll mostly find locals here, which makes it a real find.
