The Goya Boutique Resort
This luxury resort is located near Ubud, the well-known little artist town in the interior of Bali. Surrounded by green jungle, the resort boasts a wellness area, a restaurant, and a large infinity pool with a sun terrace and views of the surrounding jungle.
You can rent a room or a whole villa just for yourselves, with one or two bedrooms. Room service is also provided of course, as well as vegetarian, vegan, or gluten-free dishes.
The hotel is only 26 km away from the airport and also offers an airport shuttle. A superb hotel with a high wellness and relaxation factor, but a bit far from the beach. But on the other hand, the Ubud monkey forest is easily accessible on foot or by bike, which you can rent from the hotel, as is the lively town center.
So if the beach isn’t a top priority for your vacation, then this resort is definitely worth considering.
The MERUSAKA Nusa Dua

The resort is set amidst rice fields, overlooking the sea and the surrounding green mountains. The city of Tabanan is a 30-minute drive away.
If you want to stay away from the hustle and bustle of tourists and just want to relax, then this hotel is a good alternative. Due to the distance to the airport (about 1.5 hours drive) prices are much lower here.
The Alila Seminyak
A beautiful 5-star resort directly on the most trendy beach in Bali, Seminyak. The resort has a fitness center, a wellness area, and of course an outdoor pool and direct access to the beach. For a fee, you can also hire a bicycle and explore the lively nearby surroundings.
The accommodations are divided into studios, i.e. separate small houses, and elegant suites, some of them with balconies. The hotel also offers day trips and rental cars, and the Potato Head beach club is only an 8-minute walk away. You can get to the international airport in about 30 minutes by car.
Great if you don’t want to drive for too long to get to your hotel after your flight.
The Oberoi Bali
This resort has some of the best reviews for accommodations in Bali, and rightly so. It’s also located right by the super-trendy Seminyak beach, surrounded by a garden of about 6 hectares.
It consists entirely of traditional Balinese architecture, has an outdoor pool with a view of the sea, and is only a few minutes walking distance from great restaurants and The Seminyak Square shopping center.
You can either rent a villa or a room, with a view of the garden or of the ocean, and indulge in several beauty treatments or massages in the wellness area.
A fitness center is also available, and you can even celebrate your wedding here. So hey, why not just get married here? This resort is beautiful and only 9 km from the airport, but of course that also has its price.
The Legian Bali
The Legian Bali has the best reviews of all the hotels featured here on booking.com.
The resort is a bit more upscale, but you definitely get something for your money. It’s also located on the popular beach of Seminyak, surrounded by a tropical garden.
The rooms have very luxurious facilities, each equipped with a 32-inch flat-screen TV, a Blu-ray player, and 2 iPods with a sound dock and entertainment system.
What’s more, all the rooms have a separate living area and balcony. Of course, the resort also has a wellness area with a view of the ocean, a steam bath, and a fitness room, and it offers daily yoga classes.
In its own restaurants, you’ll be treated to both international and Asian dishes, and there’s a bar, both by the outdoor pool and at the hotel’s own beach.
The airport is only a few minutes away by car. Highly recommended if you want to splurge.
The Kayon Resort
This resort located in the middle of the jungle, outside Ubud, in the interior of Bali. This resort also offers the choice of booking a room or a villa, both featuring great views of the surrounding rainforest and Petanu River.
