Where to stay in Bali for Honeymoon? The best Honeymoon Hotels!
Bali is considered the quintessential dream island. The most beautiful sunsets, temples shrouded in legend, and beautiful white beaches. No wonder the island is a top destination for honeymoons!
You can kick back in great resorts here in minimalist or typical Balinese style and spend a romantic time together, just the two of you.
What better way to unwind after going all out with your wedding and the stressful wedding preparations? But unfortunately, finding the ideal honeymoon hotel is part and parcel of those stressful wedding preparations, and that’s why we want to help you and your sweetheart with your planning.
We have picked out some of the most beautiful honeymoon hotels in Bali, well away from the crazy party areas in Kuta and sputtering mopeds. We’ve picked the hotels according to the best reviews on booking.com, accounting for the relaxation and romance factors.
But we’ve made sure that most of them aren’t too far from more lively places such as Ubud or Seminyak. Just in case you need a break from all that relaxing!
The Goya Boutique Resort
This luxury resort is located near Ubud, the well-known little artist town in the interior of Bali. Surrounded by green jungle, the resort boasts a wellness area, a restaurant, and a large infinity pool with a sun terrace and views of the surrounding jungle.
You can rent a room or a whole villa just for yourselves, with one or two bedrooms. Room service is also provided of course, as well as vegetarian, vegan, or gluten-free dishes.
The hotel is only 26 km away from the airport and also offers an airport shuttle. A superb hotel with a high wellness and relaxation factor, but a bit far from the beach. But on the other hand, the Ubud monkey forest is easily accessible on foot or by bike, which you can rent from the hotel, as is the lively town center.
So if the beach isn’t a top priority for your vacation, then this resort is definitely worth considering.
The INAYA Putri Bali
This resort is located in the southernmost part of Bali and offers direct access to Nusa Dua beach, with its own private section of the beach. The rooms have a very modern decor, some of which offer direct access to the swimming pool, and you can also rent a villa with one or two bedrooms.
On booking.com, the guests of this resort speak particularly highly of the breakfast, which is supposed to offer a great variety of different food (even including sushi). There’s also a wellness area, as well as a bar, a restaurant, and a bike rental service.
This hotel offers really great value for money and is just a 25-minute ride from the international airport.
Kinaara Resort & Spa Pemuteran Bali
This resort is located in the north-west of Bali and is particularly quiet, just a 5-minute walk from the beach of Pemuteran. The rooms are divided in several small lodges, all in a beautiful wooden architectural style. A large outdoor pool and a wellness area for relaxing massages are also available.
The hotel is set in the middle of nature, with views of the surrounding green mountains, and with Bali Barat National Park only a 30-minute drive away. The pool and the rooms all get their water from natural hot springs.
If you want to stay away from the hustle and bustle of tourists and just want to relax, then this hotel isn’t a bad choice, as rates are much lower due to the long distance from the airport (about 4 hours drive).
The Alila Seminyak
A beautiful 5-star resort directly on the most trendy beach in Bali, Seminyak. The resort has a fitness center, a wellness area, and of course an outdoor pool and direct access to the beach. For a fee, you can also hire a bicycle and explore the lively nearby surroundings.
The accommodations are divided into studios, i.e. separate small houses, and elegant suites, some of them with balconies. The hotel also offers day trips and rental cars, and the Potato Head beach club is only an 8-minute walk away. You can get to the international airport in about 30 minutes by car.
Great if you don’t want to drive for too long to get to your hotel after your flight.
The Oberoi Bali
This resort has some of the best reviews for accommodations in Bali, and rightly so. It’s also located right by the super-trendy Seminyak beach, surrounded by a garden of about 6 hectares.
It consists entirely of traditional Balinese architecture, has an outdoor pool with a view of the sea, and is only a few minutes walking distance from great restaurants and The Seminyak Square shopping center.
You can either rent a villa or a room, with a view of the garden or of the ocean, and indulge in several beauty treatments or massages in the wellness area.
A fitness center is also available, and you can even celebrate your wedding here. So hey, why not just get married here? This resort is beautiful and only 9 km from the airport, but of course that also has its price.
The Legian Bali
This resort is a bit more upscale, but you definitely get something for your money. It’s also located on the popular beach of Seminyak, surrounded by a tropical garden.
The rooms have very luxurious facilities, each equipped with a 32-inch flat-screen TV, a Blu-ray player, and 2 iPods with a sound dock and entertainment system.
What’s more, all the rooms have a separate living area and balcony. Of course, the resort also has a wellness area with a view of the ocean, a steam bath, and a fitness room, and it offers daily yoga classes.
In its own restaurants, you’ll be treated to both international and Asian dishes, and there’s a bar, both by the outdoor pool and at the hotel’s own beach.
The airport is only a few minutes away by car. Highly recommended if you want to splurge.
The Kayon Resort
The Kayon Resort has the best reviews of all the hotels featured here on booking.com. It’s located in the middle of the jungle, outside Ubud, in the interior of Bali. This resort also offers the choice of booking a room or a villa, both featuring great views of the surrounding rainforest and Petanu River.
Each accommodation has a terrace and a separate seating area, as well as a spacious, luxurious marble bathroom. Of course, a high-class resort like this also boasts a generous wellness area, a beauty salon, and an infinity pool.
The in-house restaurant offers fusion cuisine in a romantic setting, and you can end the day with a delicious cocktail at the bar.
The Kayon resort is ideal for kicking back and relaxing, as it’s located well away from the city traffic in Ubud, but also a far cry from the nearest beach. Nevertheless, the popular little town is only a 15-minute drive away with the free shuttle service. The airport, on the other hand, is 90 minutes away by car.
