Looking for a genuinely affordable, small hotel right on the beach in Fuerteventura? Then Cotillo Sunset is exactly what you need — as long as self-catering works for you.
The small apartment complex has 34 modern, well-equipped studios, some with sea views. A lovely pool and whirlpool are available to all guests.
The real highlight is the location on the fine, gently sloping sandy beach Playa Los Marfolin. Perfect for snorkeling or visiting with young children. On the neighboring beach, La Concha, a cool kite festival takes place every November — a true under-the-radar gem in Fuerteventura.
It’s only about 500 meters to the center of El Cotillo. The town is small but really charming. You’ll find genuinely great restaurants, cafés, and a few shops.

For us, Corralejo — also in the north — is the best place to stay in Fuerteventura. One of the most affordable hotels right on the beach here is the TAO Caleta Mar.
Right in front of the hotel stretches an endlessly long beach that belongs to the Dunas de Corralejo Natural Park. You get an authentic mix of lava rocks and wide sandy stretches.
It’s only about a ten-minute walk to the town center. But you can just as easily spend the day by the large pool area — with wind-sheltered sun loungers and a view of the ocean and Lanzarote.
The 55 rooms and apartments feature a modern, bright design. Every morning the breakfast buffet includes freshly baked pastries, fresh orange juice, and sparkling wine.

The location on the quieter edge of Corralejo is perfect if you’re after plenty of peace and quiet. Right in front of the hotel is a wide sandy beach, or you can take a dip in the seawater pool with ocean views.
The rooms feature a modern boho design with light, natural colors and simple yet high-quality furnishings. We especially love the studios with a small kitchenette.
At night you can fully unwind, leave the window open, and fall asleep to the sound of the waves. In the morning, a generous, fresh breakfast awaits.

Right on the beachfront promenade of Corralejo stands the Hotel Boutique La Marquesina — one of the most popular adults-only hotels in Fuerteventura.
The standout feature of this small hotel on the beach is the rooftop infinity pool. From up there you get seriously stunning views of the ocean and can watch the excursion boats heading to Lobos.
We’d recommend booking a room with an ocean view — in the evenings you can watch the colorful activity on the promenade below. The interiors are modern and clean.
You do have to cross the promenade to reach the small sandy beach, but you really can’t stay any more centrally in Corralejo than this.

Honestly, the beaches in central Fuerteventura aren’t the highlight — you’re more likely to find really beautiful towns here, or you can get into some truly cool activities in Fuerteventura inland.
On the east coast, however, there’s one town that has developed into a proper resort destination: Caleta de Fuste. It’s close to the airport and has a lovely beach too.
There’s one hotel right on the beach in central Fuerteventura — with an all-inclusive option — that we genuinely recommend.

In central Fuerteventura there’s only one hotel on the beach that we really love: the Barceló Fuerteventura Mar, a classic family hotel in Fuerteventura.
Adults get a great spa area and paddle tennis courts, while the little ones have a kids’ club and playgrounds to keep them busy. All-inclusive is also an option.
The rooms are modern and bright, with lovely nautical touches. The sandy beach in front of the hotel sits in a beautiful little bay — and it’s also the most popular beach in this small town.
Caleta de Fuste is a bit too touristy for our taste. But central Fuerteventura is the perfect base if you want one hotel while still seeing plenty of sights in Fuerteventura.

The Royal Palm is strictly adults-only. It offers a tennis court and a genuinely excellent spa. Even though the spa costs extra, it’s absolutely worth it.
We really love the direct beach access — ideal for swimming or a long stroll. During the winter months, the heated outdoor pool keeps things comfortable.
The rooms have a clean, elegant design. Since there aren’t many restaurants in the immediate area, we’d suggest booking half-board. For a 4-star hotel, the value for money is excellent!
Apartamentos Atalaya de Jandía

In the resort town of Morro Jable there aren’t many affordable places to stay right on the beach. But if you enjoy vacationing as a self-caterer, you should check out the Apartamentos Atalaya de Jandía.
The property is a small, charming complex of about 20 apartments. All of them are very modern and bright, with everything you could need.
The Apartamentos Atalaya isn’t a classic beachfront hotel in Fuerteventura — there’s no beach right at the door. Instead, the hotel sits on a rocky plateau, and that’s exactly what makes it so special.
In addition to breathtaking ocean views, the property offers a freshwater pool and a sauna available for an extra fee. A minimum stay of five nights is required.

Of all the best beach hotels in Fuerteventura’s south, the INNSiDE by Meliá is our absolute favorite. The location on Sotavento beach with its lagoon landscape is breathtakingly beautiful.
For miles around there’s nothing but the long, wide sandy beach. Perfect if you’re after real rest and relaxation in nature. Fittingly, there are cool yoga and Pilates classes with ocean views.
You’ll feel completely at home in your room. The design is modern and hip, with a gorgeous mix of boho and beach vibes. An ocean view costs only a little more — totally worth it.
We also recommend booking half-board. The selection is huge and the food is genuinely delicious. At breakfast, gluten-free and lactose-free options are available too.

The beach seems to go on forever, with golden sand that slopes gently into the water. Perfect for couples or a family vacation in Fuerteventura.
One absolute highlight: every room has an ocean view — which is quite rare in the Canary Islands. The rooms themselves feature a bright, modern, nautically elegant design.
The dining selection is enormous and everything is genuinely delicious! That said, don’t just stay in the hotel the whole time — the location is ideal for a day trip to the Jandia Natural Park. A minimum stay of five nights is required.
