The Armani Hotel

With its 828 meters, the Burj Khalifa is so high that of course also a hotel fits into it: The Armani Hotel.

As the name suggests, it was designed by the fashion icon Giorgio Armani himself and covers 11 floors of the Burj Khalifa.

A total of seven restaurants belong to the hotel, as well as the large Armani Spa and the Armani Privé, a well-known nightclub. There is also a private entrance so that you are spared the tourist rush of the Burj Khalifa and guests of the hotel have direct access to the enormous Dubai Mall.

We probably don’t need to mention that you have to dig deeper into your pocket for the Armani Hotel; for approximately 600 euros you get the basic double room. Without breakfast!

The Burj al Arab

A room at the Armani Hotel is still too cheap for you? Then Dubai also has the Burj al Arab on offer, one of the most expensive hotels in the world.

Normally only kings, presidents and oligarchs check in here, but you have to spoil yourself once in a while, don’t you?

The hotel is located on its own island, has its own beach, its own Rolls-Royce fleet with chauffeur and offers things like iPads made of gold and 21-inch iMacs in the room.

The rooms can’t even be called rooms, as the smallest one is a 170 m² suite on two floors! Accommodation prices start at 2.350 euros:

This hotel may not be missing from the list of Dubai’s exceptional hotels. It is located at the far end of the artificial island Palm Jumeirah, with its own underwater aquarium and free access to the huge water park Aquaventure.

The entire hotel is furnished in Arabic and Oceanic style, there is a fitness and wellness center and you can swim with dolphins in the hotel’s own pool landscape.

All rooms also have a balcony with a view of the Persian Gulf, the smallest are 45 m² in size.

In addition there is a free shuttle service to the Mall of the Emirates, you can get to the Madinat Jumeirah Souk in a ten minute walk, where you can browse great local products. Room prices starting at 600 euros.

The beach is a 2 minute walk away and you bathe with a view of the Burj Al Arab. Great for beach selfies!

Because the hotel is located quite far south, there is a free shuttle service to Wild Wadi Water Park, Downtown Dubai, Burj Khalifa and Jumeirah Beach Hotel.

The Burj Khalifa is located in the middle of downtown Dubai next to Bur Dubai, the oldest quarter of the city.

So if you’re staying in this area, you’ll probably not only have a view of the world’s tallest building from your hotel room, but you’ll also be able to see the oldest buildings in the Emirates.

And in this area, of course, you can shop till you drop!

Rove Downtown Dubai: Our value for money tip

Not far from Burj Khalifa lies the Rove Downtown, a boutique style hotel. There is a gym, an outdoor pool on the roof with sun terrace, a Starbucks and a convenience store. It’s very comfortable if you don’t always want to eat out!

The hotel is truly stylish, colorful and modern, with a touch of the sixties. From here you can also easily reach Burj Khalifa or Emirates Mall on foot, the nearest metro station is about 15 minutes walk away.

The rooms are available from around 150 euros a night, a few euros more for a view of the Burj Khalifa.

The hotel is completely furnished in Thai style and has a large roof terrace with a pool. There is also a fitness and wellness area, three different restaurants and the hotel’s own shops.

The location of the hotel is also great, as you can reach several malls on foot, the Souk Al Bahar and of course the Burj Khalifa.

Moreover, other parts of the city can be easily reached by subway, as the nearest train station is only 500 meters away.

Our Dubai hotel tips in Deira: Perfect for a stopover

Very close to the airport is the second oldest district of Dubai, Deira. The area is especially known for its many markets, there is a gold souk, a textile souk and a spice souk.

Be prepared for cheaper hotel rates, quite intrusive traders and the incredible variety of handicrafts!

With its proximity to the airport, this area is ideal if you’re in Dubai for a stopover of one or two nights. All sights are within easy reach.

Riviera Hotel

From the Riviera Hotel all souks and the subway station Baniyas Square Metro Station are within walking distance.

It is a 4-star hotel and depending on which room you book, you get a balcony overlooking either the Dubai Creek or the city.

There is also a sightseeing bus stop on the opposite side of the street.

This is one of the few luxury hotels in Deira. A 5-star hotel with 428 rooms and in-house spa, with direct access to the Al Ghurair shopping centre, where there are countless restaurants.

Our value for money tip: Somewhere Hotel Apartment

We stayed at the Somewhere Hotel Apartment during our last stop. The hotel is located right next to a metro station.

In only ten minutes you are at the airport and almost as fast to all sights. The rooms are very big and cheap for Dubai.
