Hotels in Dubai Right on the Beach

If the beach and sunshine are your top priorities, you’re in luck — there are plenty of great options along the white sands of Jumeirah Beach.

This stretch has not only hotels and beach, but also loads of shops, restaurants, the Madinat Jumeirah Souk, and the Al Wild Wadi Water Park. It’s about a 20-minute drive to the Burj Khalifa, one of the absolute top attractions in Dubai.

The 5-star Jumeirah Beach Hotel, with its iconic sail-like shape, is one of the most striking places to stay in Dubai.

You’re just a two-minute walk from the hotel’s own beach, and the property also has five outdoor pools, a climbing wall, tennis courts, and no fewer than 16 restaurants. Every room has a sea view and is fully equipped — you really won’t be missing anything.

There’s also a free shuttle to the Mall of the Emirates, and the Madinat Jumeirah Souk is about a ten-minute walk away if you want to browse some fantastic local products. Room rates start from around €400.

Jumeirah Mina A'Salam - Madinat Jumeirah

A boutique hotel in the heart of the Madinat Jumeirah resort — and honestly one of our favorite places to stay in Dubai.

The beach is a two-minute walk away, and you swim with the Burj Al Arab right in your eyeline. Great for beach photos!

All rooms are decorated in Arabic style, you get direct access to the private beach, there’s a wellness area, water sports options, and a whopping 40 restaurants and bars to choose from.

Because the hotel sits a bit further south, there’s a free shuttle service to the Wild Wadi Water Park, Downtown Dubai, the Burj Khalifa, and the Jumeirah Beach Hotel — so you’re never really cut off.

Hotels Near the Burj Khalifa: Our Top Picks

The Burj Khalifa stands in the heart of Downtown Dubai, right next to Bur Dubai, the oldest neighborhood in the city.

Stay in this area and you’ll likely wake up to views of the tallest building in the world — and you can also explore the oldest structures in the Emirates just a short walk away.

And of course, this neighborhood is perfect if you want to shop until you drop.

Not far from the Burj Khalifa, the Rove Downtown is our top value pick in this area. It’s styled in a boutique fashion with a fitness center, a rooftop outdoor pool with sun terrace, a Starbucks, and a convenience store — super handy when you don’t feel like eating out every single meal.

The decor is really fun too — colorful and modern, with a touch of the Sixties. You can easily walk to the Burj Khalifa or the Emirates Mall from here, and the nearest metro station is about a 15-minute walk away.

Rooms start at around **€150 per night**, and for a little extra you can get a room with a Burj Khalifa view.

Dusit Thani Dubai

The Dusit Thani is decorated entirely in Thai style and has a large rooftop terrace with a pool — a really nice touch. There’s also a fitness and wellness center, three different restaurants, and hotel-owned shops.

Location-wise, it’s excellent: you can walk to various malls, the Souk Al Bahar, and the Burj Khalifa. And the nearest metro station is only 500 meters away, so the rest of the city is easy to reach.

Dubai Hotel Recommendations in Deira: Perfect for a Stopover

Very close to the airport lies Deira, Dubai’s second-oldest neighborhood. It’s especially known for its markets — there’s a Gold Souk, a Textile Souk, and a Spice Souk.

Expect lower hotel prices, rather persistent vendors, and an incredible variety of craftsmanship.

Thanks to its proximity to the airport, this area is ideal if you’re only in Dubai for one or two nights on a layover. All the sights are still quick and easy to reach.

Riviera Hotel

From the Riviera Hotel, all the souks and the Baniyas Square Metro Station are super easy to reach on foot.

It has four stars, and depending on which room you book, you get a balcony with a view of either the Dubai Creek or the city skyline.

There’s also a sightseeing bus stop directly across the street — very convenient.

Swissôtel Al Ghurair

This is one of the few genuine luxury hotels in Deira. A 5-star property with 428 rooms and an in-house spa, with direct access to the Al Ghurair Centre shopping mall — which also has countless restaurants.

From here you can take a lovely walk to the Deira souks, the Dubai Creek, and the Dubai Heritage Village. The Union metro station is also very close by, giving you easy access to every corner of the city.

Unser Preis-Leistungs-Tipp: Somewhere Hotel Apartment

We actually stayed at the Somewhere Hotel Apartment on our last layover. The hotel is right next to a metro station — you can be at the airport in just ten minutes, and almost as quickly at all the main sights.

The rooms are seriously spacious and quite affordable by Dubai standards. A solid pick if you want comfort without overpaying.

At 828 meters, the Burj Khalifa is tall enough to fit an entire hotel inside: the Armani Hotel.

Designed by fashion icon Giorgio Armani himself, it occupies 11 floors of the tower. The hotel has seven restaurants, the large Armani Spa, and Armani Privé — a well-known nightclub. There’s also a private entrance to shield you from the tourist crowds, plus direct access to the enormous Dubai Mall.

We probably don’t need to tell you this won’t come cheap — the basic double room starts at around **€600**. Without breakfast!

Das Burj Al Arab

Still not expensive enough? Then Dubai has one more card to play: the Burj Al Arab — one of the most expensive hotels in the world.

This is normally where kings, presidents, and oligarchs check in — but hey, you only live once, right?

The hotel sits on its own private island, has its own beach, a Rolls-Royce fleet with chauffeur, and in-room extras like gold-plated iPads and 21-inch iMacs.

You can’t really call the rooms rooms — the smallest is a 170 m² two-story suite. Room rates start from **€2,350**.

This one couldn’t be left off the list. The Atlantis The Palm sits at the very tip of the man-made Palm Jumeirah island, with its own underwater aquarium and free access to the massive Aquaventure water park.

The whole hotel is decorated in Arabic and oceanic style, there’s a fitness and wellness center, and you can actually swim with dolphins in the hotel’s own pool complex.

Every room has a balcony with views of the Persian Gulf, and even the smallest rooms are 45 m².

If you’re a water lover and want to spend a day on the heart-pounding slides at the water park, this is absolutely the place to stay.
