What are city passes?
You can buy Citypasses or Citycards for many large cities.
Here’s how it works: You buy a city pass for a one-off amount, which is then valid for a certain period of time (e.g. 1, 3 or 5 days).
During this time, you can use the pass to visit many different sights and attractions in the city and often also use local public transport, hop-on hop-off buses and tourist boats.
Whenever we are in a new city, we take a look at the various offers for city passes. After all, you can save money with the right city card!
Whether you need such a pass actually depends entirely on your type of trip. Do you want to experience something on your city trip, do you like going to museums and taking tours? Then you should definitely take a closer look at the local city passes.
And another advantage: you often get priority entry and can skip the queue. So you also save time with such a pass!
However, it is not the case that a Citypass is always worthwhile. It all depends on the offer and your travel behavior.
