Is it worth it? Just like the Moco Museum in Amsterdam, the Moco Museum Barcelona won us over completely. The exhibition is varied and totally creative — perfect for fans of modern, urban art.
Our tip: The Moco is right in the heart of El Born, one of Barcelona’s trendiest neighborhoods and one of the best areas for staying in Barcelona. After your museum visit, you can wander through the neighborhood’s winding lanes and relax at one of the hip cafés.

Museu Nacional d'Art de Catalunya (MNAC)

What do you need to know? Our tip: On Saturdays from 3 PM, admission to the MNAC is free. This only applies if you buy your ticket on-site, though.

What do you need to know? Even though they aren’t classic museums, the creatively designed buildings of the famous architect Gaudí simply can’t be left off this list. The best-known are the Casa Batlló and the Casa Milà, while the Casa Vicens is still a genuine under-the-radar pick in Barcelona, for example. All three former residences are open for tours today.
Is it worth it? Visiting at least one of the three Gaudí works is an absolute must on a trip to Barcelona, even if you’re only there for a weekend in Barcelona. Each house is a unique work of art and reflects Gaudí’s extraordinary vision.

Our tip: The museum is a little outside the city center at the foot of Tibidabo hill. But you can get there easily in about 30 minutes on Barcelona’s public transit — or, even more fun, on the hop-on/hop-off bus in Barcelona. You’ll get a great view of the city along the way.

FC Barcelona Museum

What do you need to know? The museum is located right next to the Camp Nou, the stadium of the world-famous soccer club FC Barcelona. The tour, which gives you an inside look at the club’s past, present, and future, is designed to be super interactive. The highlight is a 360° experience that virtually places you right in the middle of the Camp Nou.
Is it worth it? The FC Barcelona Museum is really well done and is one of the most popular attractions in Barcelona. An absolute must for soccer fans in particular!
Normally the tour also takes you into the stadium, but it’s currently under renovation. Once the renovation is complete, that will be possible again.
