Our Experience in the Wondr Experience Amsterdam

Wondr Experience

In a nutshell

What is Wondr Experience?

It’s not so easy to explain what the Wondr Experience actually is.

A museum? A playground for young and old? A photo backdrop?

It’s probably a bit of everything. The Wondr Experience website describes it as a place that’s all about fun. And that pretty much sums it up.

At the Wondr Experience, you walk through different rooms and settings where you can take photos and have fun. You can jump into a ball pit, stand on stage with a microphone or jump on a bouncy castle.

It sounds like a huge playground for children. And yes, children think the Wondr Experience is great. However, the place is actually mainly made for adults who want to let their inner child run wild again.

Our Experience in the Wondr Experience

How does a visit to the Wondr Experience work?

At the entrance, you will first be given a key to a locker where you can store your jackets and bags.

The individual rooms in the Wondr Experience follow a circular route. You go from one room to the next, but you can’t go back.

A new world awaits you in each room. There are fixed cameras in many of these rooms. With your ticket, you can operate these cameras and take fun snapshots of yourself.

After your visit, you will receive a link by e-mail where you can download all the photos from your visit free of charge. You only have to pay if you want to print them out on site.

Our experiences at the Wondr Experience

We went to the Wondr Experience with 2 children aged 5 and 2 and had great fun.

We were there at 11 am on a Sunday morning. It was still very empty at that time. When we left about 1.5 hours later, it was already much more crowded. So it’s worth getting there early.

The absolute highlight for the kids was of course the ball pool, we must have spent half an hour there alone. But all the other rooms were great too, e.g. the confetti shower, the light show or the flower room with funny costumes. The marshmallow bath with slide was also very cool. And the confetti shower.

We don’t want to tell you too much about the individual rooms. Just take a look at the photos and let yourself be surprised.

The price is relatively steep; as a family of four, you can easily spend 100 euros here.

But you’ll end up with some really cool family photos that you won’t get anywhere else. In our opinion, it’s definitely worth it!

What is the Rollerdreams Rollerdisco?

There is a roller disco at the Wondr Experience. You can hire roller skates and whizz around the floor for an hour. Fun costumes are also available on request.

You can visit just the roller disco or buy a combined ticket together with the actual Wondr Experience.

During our visit, there were only two people on the dance floor. But it’s probably busier in the evening.

How to Get to the Wondr Experience

Wondr Experience is located in Amsterdam Noord. From the outside, it’s a rather inconspicuous hall on a street in the middle of a residential area.

You can easily get there by public transport in Amsterdam. Take the M52 metro to Noorderpark station, which is one stop after Amsterdam Centraal.

From there, it’s just under a 10-minute walk.

How long does the visit to the Wondr Experience last?

In most cases, if you arrive early or late, it won’t be a problem. The team on site is really nice. If it is very crowded, you may have to wait a while.
