Is the Amsterdam All-Inclusive Pass Worth it?

Amsterdam Explorer Pass Go City

In a nutshell

  • The Amsterdam All-Inclusive Pass is one of four city passes for Amsterdam.
  • It gives you free entry to more than 35 attractions, museums, excursions and other activities.
  • You can choose between 1, 2, 3 or 5 days of use. During this time, you can visit as many sights as you want.
  • The pass is only worth it if you want to visit very specific attractions that are only included in this pass. For most travelers, the I Amsterdam City Card is the better choice.

Is the Amsterdam All-Inclusive Pass Worth it?

In our Amsterdam City Pass comparison, we have analyzed all city passes. The Amsterdam All-Inclusive Pass from the well-known provider Go City scores 73 out of 100 points in our evaluation. We’ll show you exactly how we arrived at this score below.

In our comparison, the All-Inclusive Pass is in second place behind the I Amsterdam City Card.

Nevertheless, there are good reasons why the All-Inclusive Pass may still be the better choice for you:

  • If you are less interested in museums and more interested in special experiences, the Amsterdam All-Inclusive Pass is better. Our Verdict

The Amsterdam All-Inclusive Pass scored 77 out of 100 points in our test.

That is a good result. The deduction is actually only due to the fact that it does not include public transport or any other means of transport, such as the hop-on hop-off bus in Amsterdam.

This pushes the score down considerably. However, if you don’t want to use public transport, the pass is a very good choice. Basically, you can also use buses and trains in Amsterdam quite easily and relatively cheaply without a city pass.

Example Calculation: 3 Days in Amsterdam

Many travelers spend a long weekend in Amsterdam, so we’ll show you a calculation example for 3 days in Amsterdam.

Day 1: On the first day, you visit some classic highlights in Amsterdam. You start with a canal cruise and explore the red light district of Amsterdam. There you will take part in the highly acclaimed Tour de Bonton brothel tour. In the evening, you’ll take a self-guided food tour through the Jordaan district.

Day 2: On the second day, you hire a bike and head towards Amsterdam Noord. First, enjoy the view from the A’dam Lookout, then take some great souvenir photos at the Wondr Experience. Return the bike in the afternoon and round off the day at the Heineken Experience.

Day 3: The third day is reserved for history and culture. You start with a tour of Anne Frank and then head to the famous Rijksmuseum. Nearby is the Moco Museum, for which you won’t need much time.

We have put together 3 program points for each day from the All-Inclusive Pass offer, which are also very doable in the time available. You can, of course, pack more into your days, but then it will be a little less relaxed.

In the following table, we have broken down the costs for this program with and without the All-Inclusive Pass:

FAQ about the Amsterdam All-Inclusive Pass

Can I use the Amsterdam All-Inclusive Pass without an app?

Yes, that is possible. You will also receive the pass as a PDF file immediately after purchase. You can also simply show the PDF at the individual attractions or even print them out.

However, we recommend loading the pass in the app as it is most convenient and you can make reservations there at any time.

Can I save multiple All-Inclusive Passes in one app?

Yes, that is possible. If you are traveling in a larger group, you can easily save all passes on a smartphone.

How long is the Amsterdam All-Inclusive Pass valid for?

The Amsterdam All-Inclusive Pass is valid for 2, 3 or 5 calendar days. Only full calendar days are actually counted. If you don’t use your 2-day pass for the first time until 6:00 p.m. on Monday, it is still only valid until 11:59 p.m. on Tuesday.

So make sure you plan your days to get the most out of the pass.

How do I activate the All-Inclusive Pass?

The pass is automatically activated when you enter the first attraction with it. At the entrance your pass will be scanned and it will then be active.

Is the Amsterdam All-Inclusive Pass also worth it for children?

Children get a discount on the Amsterdam All-Inclusive Pass. The children’s ticket is valid for children between 3 and 12 years old. Children under three years of age have free entry everywhere anyway.

  • 2-Day-Pass: 59 Euros (104 Euros)
  • 3-Day-Pass: 74 Euros (124 Euros)
  • 5-Day-Pass: 109 Euros (169 Euros)

Whether the pass is worth it with children is another matter. We think it’s only worth it with older children aged around 10 or older.

Typical attractions in Amsterdam for smaller children, such as the Zoo or the Nemo Science Museum, are not included in the all-inclusive pass. That’s why the pass is not worth it with smaller children.

However, there are some exciting attractions for older children, such as Amsterdam Dungeon or Madame Tussauds. These aren’t necessarily the must-see highlights in Amsterdam, but older children and teenagers are sure to have fun there.

Is the Amsterdam All-Inclusive Pass cheaper locally?

No, the Amsterdam All-Inclusive Pass is not cheaper on site and you cannot buy it on site. You can get the best price online directly from the provider Go City.
