A'DAM Lookout: Our Ticket Recommendation
As soon as the ticket selection becomes too large, chaos ensues. To prevent this, we recommend the Lookout Thrill Ticket.
This ticket includes admission to the high-rise building with lift ride and observation deck as well as a ride on the swing and the VR ride.
This is the perfect A’DAM Lookout package.
How to Get to the A'DAM Lookout?
The A’DAM Lookout is located in Amsterdam Noord at the harbor.
With the free ferry F3 to “Buiksloterweg” you can easily and quickly travel from the central station to the other side and get off right in front of the A’DAM Lookout. If you look up, you can already see the Amsterdam swing.
The crossing takes less than 5 minutes.
And don’t worry: the ferries run 24/7, you really can’t miss them and the timetable is perfectly organized.

Our Review on the A'DAM Lookout
We went to the A’DAM Lookout with 2 children aged 5 and 2 and had great fun – even despite the bad weather and rain in Amsterdam.
The elevator ride alone is a real highlight. The elevator has cool light and sound effects.
But there is also a normal elevator for those who don’t get on so well with flashing lights.
Either way, the first stop is the observation deck on the 20th floor.
The panoramic view from the top is really great. And there is no other view like it anywhere else in Amsterdam!

In addition to the view, you will also find the VR rollercoaster and binoculars on this level, which explain the city and its buildings to you as you look through them.
After that, you continue up the stairs to the top. There is the swing.
Good to know: there is another elevator for wheelchair users or if you have a baby carriage with you. Just ask the staff.
We ventured onto the swing and swung 100 meters back and forth over Amsterdam. A really cool activity, but to be honest, not quite as spectacular as it looks from below. Unfortunately, only 60 seconds are allowed for the swinging. That’s a real shame.
Nevertheless, you shouldn’t miss out on this little thrill while you’re there.
However, if you are afraid of heights and would rather not swing, then just enjoy the view. The normal ticket for around 17 euros is sufficient.
By the way: you can combine the A’DAM Lookout with the NDSM shipyard – a cool hidden gem in Amsterdam.
