In a nutshell
- We’ve personally researched every option and are sharing our 12 favorite adults-only hotels in Crete — one list, every budget covered.
- 11 of the hotels are in northern Crete, the most popular and well-connected area for staying on the island. The one exception is in the quieter, less touristy south.
- You can choose between budget-friendly picks, all-inclusive resorts, hotels right on the beach, stylish boutique hotels, and luxury 5-star properties.
- Our top value pick is the Aqua Blu — great location for day trips around Crete. For the best adults-only all-inclusive experience, go for The Syntopia Hotel.
Affordable Adults Only Hotels in Crete
Our three affordable Adults Only hotels in Crete are perfect if you’re not specifically hunting for an all-inclusive or beachfront property — just a great place to relax without kids around.
The value for money at these adults-only hotels is seriously hard to beat. All three are in the north of the island and have a fantastic location for a laid-back vacation.
Aqua Blu by Checkin
The Aqua Blu Adults Only Hotel in Crete is our absolute best value pick. At this small adults-only hotel with just 14 rooms, a night costs between 120 and 210 euros.
For that, you get a whole lot in return. Our highlight is the exceptional breakfast. Every evening you choose what you’d like the next morning — and it’s freshly prepared just for you.
We also really love the rooms. They’re super bright, modern, and minimalist, with lots of wood and a truly beautiful boho style. In our opinion, the Aqua Blu is one of Crete’s best hotels.
The Aqua Blu sits in the small village of Anissares in northeastern Crete. A small but rocky beach is right nearby. You’re well away from the tourist crowds here, but a rental car gets you back in the action quickly.
Elounda Heights
Just south of the Aqua Blu is the Elounda Heights — in the town of Elounda, which is one of the most beautiful places in Crete in our opinion. For us, it’s one of the best adults only hotels in Crete.
This small property with 19 rooms is run by Kostas and Natalia, a Greek couple who took over from Natalia’s parents a few years ago.
Unlike many other adults-only hotels in Crete, the décor is simple and understated — but beautiful in its own way. Every room makes up for it with a breathtaking view of the sea and the famous island of Spinalonga.
The price is seriously hard to beat — you’ll usually pay only 175 euros for the cheapest room, even in summer. Breakfast isn’t included, but you can add it for about 10 euros.
Bali Diamond
Want a great adults-only hotel in Crete that’s right in the middle of a lively resort town? We can highly recommend the Bali Diamond.
This adults-only hotel sits in Bali, one of the best places to stay in Crete in our view. Since it’s built into a hillside, almost every room has a truly stunning view of the gorgeous little Bali Bay — one of the dream beaches in Crete.
This lovely hotel is very small with just 16 rooms and has a wonderfully intimate feel. The design is modern, bright, and minimalist. We also really love the pool area, which shares those great views.
Especially in the off-season, you can score a real bargain at the Bali Diamond. A delicious breakfast is included. There’s always something going on in Bali, and the town is also a great base for exploring many Crete attractions.
Adults-Only Hotels in Crete with All-Inclusive
If you’d rather not think about meals and drinks, an adults-only hotel in Crete with all-inclusive is the way to go.
We’ve picked out two great options for you. Both are in the north and offer really solid value for money.
The Syntopia Hotel
Want to truly treat yourself and not have to worry about a thing? Then check out The Syntopia Hotel, one of the best adults only hotels in Crete with all-inclusive.
We especially love the truly beautiful modern boho style throughout the entire hotel, with a great attention to detail. The spa area is a perfect place to unwind.
If you go all-inclusive (breakfast-only is also available), you can spend almost the entire day working your way through the cocktail menu. The food is genuinely tasty and varied — impressive for an all-inclusive property.
The location in Adelianos is actually ideal if you want a mix of relaxation and sightseeing. One heads-up though: The Syntopia sits between two roads, so some rooms can get a bit noisy.
Solimar Turquoise
A more affordable adults-only hotel in Crete with all-inclusive is the Solimar Turquoise in Agia Marina, in the northwestern part of the island — one of the most beautiful resort towns in all of Crete, in our opinion.
There’s always something going on in Agia Marina, and the gorgeous city of Chania is only about 20 minutes away. The bus even stops right in front of the hotel.
Rooms are decorated in a bright, modern, and minimalist style — just make sure you’re a fan of the color turquoise! We also really appreciate the proximity to the private beach, which is just one road crossing away.
The food isn’t the best — as is often the case with all-inclusive hotels — and opinions are divided on the cocktails. That said, you can score a real deal in the off-season.
Adults-Only Hotels in Crete Directly on the Beach
Finding a great adults-only hotel in Crete on the beach isn’t too difficult — but these two stood out so much we couldn’t leave them off the list.
Both are in northwestern Crete, which is one of the most beautiful areas to stay on the island in our opinion.
Solimar White Pearl
Want ultimate relaxation — all-inclusive cocktail in hand, beach right at your feet, no roads to cross? That’s exactly what you get at the Solimar White Pearl.
This is an adults-only hotel in Crete directly on the beach and with all-inclusive — a combination that’s probably unique on the island. The one downside: the beach is pebbly rather than sandy.
Even so, it’s one of the most beautiful beachfront hotels in Crete for us. The location in northwestern Crete is wonderfully peaceful, and the beaches here are incredibly beautiful.
The rooms are large, bright, and very modern. Just don’t expect authentic Greek cuisine — that’s not what all-inclusive is about. On the plus side, prices are very affordable in the off-season.
Kalamaki Luxury Suites
If being right on the beach is your top priority, the Kalamaki Luxury Suites in Kato Daratso — a suburb of Chania — could be exactly what you’re after.
This small, family-run adults-only hotel has just six rooms, each decorated stylishly and with a lot of care. If you want to really treat yourself during your Crete vacation, go for the Master Suite with whirlpool and sea view.
There’s no pool and breakfast isn’t included. But the family also runs a really excellent restaurant right on the beach — you can get everything there, from breakfast through to dinner.
Prices are genuinely great for a beachfront adults-only hotel. In the off-season you’ll pay only 70 euros for the cheapest room category. In summer, around 125 euros.

Adults-Only Boutique Hotels in Crete
Want something with a unique design and real personality? Our three adults-only boutique hotels in Crete are the ones to look at.
One of them, the The Authentic Village Boutique Hotel, is probably the only adults-only hotel in Crete located in the south of the island — a quieter, less touristy corner than the north.
Nima Boutique Hotel
For a truly beautiful, minimalist design, the Nima Boutique Hotel is one of the best adults-only crete hotels you’ll find.
It’s a small, family-run property with just 24 bright and spacious rooms — some even with a private pool. The beach is only 500 meters away, and the value for money is seriously impressive.
In the off-season, a double room can be had for under 100 euros. Included is an exceptional breakfast with a huge selection — think freshly made crêpes alongside local spreads. Really special.
We also love the location between Chania and Rethymnon in northern Crete — perfect if you’re planning some sightseeing. The Nima Boutique Hotel is actually our top pick among all boutique hotels in Crete.
The Authentic Village Boutique Hotel
Southern Crete is known as the quiet corner of the island — and that’s exactly where you’ll find the The Authentic Village Boutique Hotel. It’s probably the only adults-only hotel in southern Crete.
The spacious rooms are stylish and full of charm and authentic character. What’s really cool: the hotel was co-designed by local artists, designers, and architects.
From the outside it looks like a traditional Greek village. It’s honestly one of our favorite hotels on the island — even without a pool or included breakfast.
The peaceful village of Sfakia has some wonderful tavernas nearby. And the price is really good too — even in summer you’ll pay under 120 euros. A truly special adults-only boutique hotel in Crete for anyone who wants peace, quiet, and authenticity.

Lagon Life Spirit Boutique Hotel
If a delicious breakfast and a private pool are non-negotiable, our third adults-only boutique pick is for you: the Lagon Life Spirit Boutique Hotel.
The standout feature: every single room has its own private pool. You can even have breakfast served to you each morning while taking in a stunning panorama of Chania and the sea.
The location in Chania in northwestern Crete is, of course, excellent. After a day of sightseeing, the wellness area of this adults-only hotel is a perfect place to wind down.
All 23 rooms are super bright and modern — we really love the design. The Lagon Life Spirit offers a genuine touch of luxury, so it’s not the most budget-friendly option on this list.
Adults-Only Luxury Hotels in Crete
After pure luxury? Then a 5-star adults-only hotel in Crete is what you’re looking for. Both of our luxury picks are in the northwest of the island — a hugely popular vacation area and conveniently close to the airport.
Seaside A Lifestyle Resort
Want to really splurge? Looking for a one-of-a-kind luxury adults-only resort in Crete? Then the Seaside A Lifestyle Resort in Agia Pelagia is your answer.
The town itself doesn’t have a huge amount to offer, but honestly, it doesn’t matter — everything about this hotel is exceptional. It’s dramatically built into a cliff right by the sea, and there’s still a small beach down below.
The room design is elegant with a beautiful boho aesthetic. It’s also an adults-only hotel in Crete with all-inclusive — and the food here is genuinely great.
The extras, like complimentary yoga and Pilates classes, are a lovely bonus. And the best part: outside of peak season, you can get all of this from around 200 euros. For us, it’s the best adults-only luxury hotel in Crete.

Stella Island Luxury Resort
And then there’s the second adults-only luxury hotel in Crete that we absolutely love: the Stella Island Luxury Resort. You probably won’t find a more luxurious adults-only hotel anywhere in Crete.
The resort has 12 pools, six restaurants, and a full spa and wellness area. It’s also an adults-only hotel in Crete with all-inclusive — and genuinely great, always-fresh à la carte food.
The absolute highlight is the bungalows that seem to float above one of the large pools. Truly dreamlike. But even the standard rooms with direct pool access are something really special.
All rooms are large, bright, and beautifully boho-designed with very individual touches. Personally, it would stretch our budget — but if you’re after an extraordinary adults-only luxury experience in Crete, this is the place.
